Two Cuyahoga County attorneys who tried to collect $1 million in legal fees from the family of a teenage suicide victim for about 15 hours of work the attorneys did wrongly in a case were suspended Wednesday by the Ohio Supreme Court.
The court said the lawyers had hired their own lawyer, Tom Wilson, who came up with the idea of making an application to the probate judge to remove the girl's father from her estate. The hospital and her family had reached a confidential settlement, and Amaddio and Wargo - who are not partners in the law but often work together - helped the family build an estate on her behalf to manage the money. But the girls' family did not want to file a lawsuit against the hospital and so decided to take the case themselves, according to the court decision in the Wilson case and two attorneys, Mark Amadio of Cleveland Heights and Mark W Fargo of Cuyahoga Heights. They tried to pressure the boy's mother and father, the mother's ex-husband, to pay the charges by threatening to ask the judge to remove his name.

The guidelines favor offenders who plead guilty, but they can be accepted if the United States attorney uses that process. If you are arrested, you should ask your lawyer to answer these and other questions. It may also be in your interest for a solicitor to check the fine print before signing any legal documents. Her lawyer carefully examines the case and the evidence and, if necessary, accepts a plea in the interests of the safety and well-being of the defendant.
Having a lawyer to guide you through the complexities of the legal system can save you time, trouble and possibly much heartache on issues where money or property is at stake. There are times when hiring a lawyer quickly is crucial to your case, especially if you have been charged with a crime.
A lawyer can also help you get the compensation you deserve if you suffer a serious injury. You do not need a lawyer to file a small claims lawsuit, but you can have your attorney represent you in a civil suit against the City of Cleveland, the State of Ohio, or even the federal government if you wish.
A criminal defense attorney can ensure that law enforcement authorities respect your legal rights while they investigate and arrest you. Your lawyer can speak to the police and the Crown Prosecution Service on your behalf and ensure that they respect your rights.
